Where it began
behind the scenes
The Armview experience… but we take it up a notch.
With deep roots in the community and a reputation for delicious food and great service in a family friendly environment, it made perfect sense for the Armview Restaurant to start bringing that experience directly to wherever clients wanted to share it with others.
Commitment to Excellence
We know when you invite others to share in your special event, you want the food to look, smell, and taste amazing, and your guests to feel well attended by staff who care about their experience. Uptown Catering took everything you liked about the Armview and took it up a notch.
Evolution into Catering
So we started to cater events, bringing all of our previous kitchen and service experience with us. As the different kinds of events we served over time had different needs, our chef got creative. We added hors d’oeuvres and other items perfect for groups to our menu, and cocktail party food became another specialty for which we were renowned.
EST. 2008
As a division of the popular Armview Restaurant, Armview Catering was established in 2008. Innovative eats and exceptional service induced fast growth for Armview Catering, servicing many special events, both corporate and private, throughout HRM.
2010
Awarded Contract
After being awarded the contract for the Art Gallery of Nova Scotia in autumn 2010, Uptown was born.
2016
Building Expansion
In 2016, a physical expansion of the building provided additional space for enhanced refrigeration facilities and the installation of a dedicated catering kitchen.
2024
Online Service
After 16 years of delivering good food and good times, this year will see the launch of Uptown Catering’s online ordering website, making it even easier for you to host your guests and bring them the most memorable food experience wherever you decide to have them. We can’t wait to get started on bringing what we do best directly to you.
